Mision Encontrandome con Cristo 2007-2010

Missionaries thoughts...
In the Name of Jesus Christ I want to thank you for your "YES"--- love for God and love for the "poor"... keep it going... ciao!

Dear Missionaries,

Peace!
Como estan? How are you all doing today? I've been praying for all of you... I hope that you can still feel that our hearts are still aching and burning with the presence and love of God that we have experienced through each others, through the mission and through the blessed and holy gathering we had at Mass, during witness and Adoration.

I am deeply humbled by your love, dedication and willingness to do everything.... these and more make the mission great, successful, fun, blessed and exciting... of course, always, by the GRACE AND LOVE OF THE FATHER!!! I saw how you served the poor and the wounded girls; I saw how you interacted with others; I saw how you opened your hearts and souls to others... I saw Jesus in you.... what a great WITNESS you are! Continue to do so and never be ashamed of your faith ---  LORD JESUS CHRIST! IN THE END, I saw Matthew 25 being fulfilled and it was so humbling to behold....

Please share your thoughts and reflections about the mission and post them through this website by clicking "Post a new Message"  or send them to me through email--- thanks !

ciao!
hasta...

God bless!
Fr. Robert

The Guatemala mission trip is my spiritual food that helps me to sustain my faith in the Lord Jesus Christ for the whole year. I see Jesus in the faces of my fellow missionaries and in the people of Estancia Grande. The love we exchange with one another is the love of Jesus and that love is so joyful and fulfilling. There are not enough thank you's I could say to them for what they have given me. They have opened my heart wide to let the love of Christ in.

Comment: My third year on the mission and still this experience never ceases to amaze me. In fact, this year was even more wonderful than before. Every year that I go on this mission and work in Estancia Grande, I feel more a part of this mission and the people of Estancia Grande feel more like my own community. My mission team feels more like my own family. And the Holy Spirit fills my soul with God's love more and more each year.

Comment: The mission was awesome. It really makes me regret not going last year but we made the most of this year. We are already trying to make arrangements for next year. I miss all of our Guatemala friends. Thank you Father Robert for the opportunity. God Bless!

Comment: Matthew 25:40 “. . . Amen, I say to you, whatever you did for one of these least brothers of mine, you did for me.” The mission allowed us to live the Word of God. May we continue to live the Word of God in our day to day activities here at home and may we always “love not in word or speech but in deed and truth.” 1 John 3:18 I would like to thank every missionary for allowing me to experience God’s presence in you and through you--whether it was Father proclaiming God’s word in Mass, a smile on a face or someone playing with the children or painting the water containers or putting up the lights or cutting hair or teaching the children or talking to the adults or sharing musical talents--whatever it was--you made a difference and God’s light was shining brightly through each one of you. Thank you for the wonderful experience. All you have been a blessing and inspiration to me! God Bless, Love, and Peace!

Comment: No words can express the sense of accomplishment and generosity feeling you left behind in Guatemala. Hope more missioners keep coming to share who they are and you all come back. Every day was so special and it made us become more caring Christians. God bless you all for being soooo nice!

Comment: This mission trip changed my life. Since the day we got home, it's all I think about. What an overwhelmingly amazing experience! I dont think I've ever felt happier with where I was than when I was running around the village with the little kids. And never before have I felt so much care and compassion for others, and I can confidently say that those feelings will never be lost. The people of Estancia Grande and my fellow missionaries will always have a special place in my heart. I made many new friends in Guatemala that I still keep in touch with, and I learn so much from them - Maru and Ingrid teach me Spanish almost everyday, haha! I can't wait until next year, and quite a few of my classmates are interested in joining us as well! I can't thank you enough, Father Robert, for helping me to join you all this year, even with the distance problem we had! I am so very grateful!!

Comment: It has been a few months since our mission trip. Often I find myself thinking of the wonderful people of Guatemala. My inconveniences from the hurricanes seem so small compared to the everyday life of the people of Estancia Grande. How fortunate we are to help them, but most of all how fortunate are we to learn from them. As I was leaving I asked a grandfather what I could bring his grandaughter next summer. He thought for a while and said,"I just want you and the other missionaries to come back". Their need is so great he could have asked for many things. Others through out the week spoke the same words. Thank you, Father Robert for bringing us to help and learn from the people of Estancia Grande.
